Happy Holidays 2002
For both of us, this was our best year yet. Neither one of us realized how much we would love being parents! After polishing our sleep deprivation survival skills, we’ve discovered that having Jasmine is the most amazing thing we’ve ever experienced.
ANZ trip
We started this year with a trip to Australia and New Zealand for some hiking before the birth. Chris was over four months pregnant but we still enjoyed hiking some of the most beautiful trails in the world.
Baby Waby
Jasmine Grace was born under a full summer moon on June 25. Chris’ family came to stay with us for a week and helped us out a lot!
Jasmine is now a healthy six-month-old with two teeth and lots of hair. She’s a very serious baby. Chris says she’s a wise old soul who’s a bit cranky about doing the baby thing again.
Jasmine’s favorite things are:
Petting Molly, Nursing, Hiking on Dad’s back in her new Kelty pack, Bouncing in her jumpy seat, Dancing while Mom and Dad sing her Raffi songs. And of course, the love of her life…Teletubbies.
The Garden
We put the garden on the back burner this year because we’re pretty busy with our own new sprout. However, we were thrilled one day to discover real bananas hanging from our banana tree! Pat hung them in the kitchen and we had banana bread for a month. Yumm!
